Let us introduce you to Nancy, Account Manager at TrustPay, in this interview.

How long have you been working for TrustPay, and what were your first impressions?

I have been working at TrustPay for exactly one year — I just had my anniversary 😊. My first impressions were positive; I remember arriving at the beautiful office space and being welcomed warmly at the reception. However, I also felt some fear of the unknown since I previously worked in a completely different industry.

The first days were challenging, as is usual in the beginning, but with the help of supportive colleagues, I managed to get trained quite quickly. In a relatively short time, I had the chance to try different tasks in various departments, which helped me discover what I enjoy the most and where I feel naturally comfortable — the position of Account Manager.

What motivates you to come to work every day?

I can’t imagine working without a good team. I love working in an environment where we help each other and can step in for one another when needed. First and foremost, it’s the community of people I work with and am surrounded by throughout the workday. The second factor is the motivation to constantly move forward, gain new experiences, and meet new people, whether within the company or at events we attend.

It’s also important for me to continually step out of my comfort zone. Since I work directly with clients, I often find myself in situations where I have to resolve issues on the spot with a smile, which is not always easy. I can see that I am personally growing and constantly gaining new experiences. And lastly, it’s definitely the money that allows me to travel to new countries I haven’t visited yet. 😊

“Never be afraid when the first challenge comes; instead, tell yourself that you can handle it.”

Has working at TrustPay helped you find a department/position that you truly enjoy?

Yes, during my time here, I have had the opportunity to transfer and work in different departments several times, which has helped me better understand the company’s operations and the interconnections between departments and gain new experiences. It’s great that TrustPay gives employees the chance to truly find themselves and do the work that suits them best.

Although I have always been sad to leave a department where I had established good working relationships, who knows, maybe some departments are even glad since I am one of the more talkative types, and not every department requires that. 😀

What advice would you give to someone considering working at TrustPay?

I would definitely recommend working at TrustPay. There are many great people here, and you certainly won’t get bored. Never be afraid when the first challenge comes; instead, tell yourself that you can handle it.

With this mindset, you can move forward in our company and build good relationships based on trust. We currently have colleagues from various countries, making us a multicultural team. 😊

How do you balance work and personal life?

As an account manager, I spend most of my time in the office. My best friends during the day are my computer and phone, as I communicate daily with our existing and potential new clients.

Working with people can be very fun but also challenging. Therefore, I almost always engage in sports activities after work to clear my head. For example, I love swimming, running, or going to the gym, where I can disconnect from the outside world and recharge.

How does TrustPay differ from other companies you have worked for?

TrustPay is a family-owned company, and the atmosphere reflects that. People here, both within departments and across the company, form great relationships and friendships.

Since we have multiple departments that need to cooperate, it’s very important to maintain good relationships as we communicate daily, whether through the computer or in person. Even when we sometimes disagree, we always solve every problem as a team.

What are your relationships with colleagues within the company, and how do you evaluate the corporate culture at TrustPay?

Many young and talented people work at TrustPay, and they share interests similar to mine. I fit in best with my new team, where all the girls are a bit crazy in their own way, making us known as the loudest department 😊.

I also really appreciate the company’s effort to organize various team-building events throughout the year, such as barbecues, goulash parties, and annual winter and summer team-building activities. These events always give us a chance to get to know colleagues who, for example, work from home offices.

If you could change one thing in the company, what would it be and why?

In my opinion, a general problem of our time is that people don’t communicate enough. As a result, important information sometimes reaches people late, or they only learn about changes when they investigate the matter themselves.

Therefore, I appreciate that our managers and HR organize meetings where we can discuss what could be improved in the company and its operations.
